The Bremen Health Department is home to the Coordination Office for the implementation of the Heat Action Plan. The Coordination Office is the central point of contact for the Heat Action Plan. It supports the implementation of the measures and ensures that all those involved work well together and exchange ideas. Relevant information is collected and passed on expediently to the parties involved. The Coordination Office ensures the progress of the individual measures and develops measures further when there are new findings, thus perpetuating the Heat Action Plan.

In the event of a heat wave in Bremen or Bremerhaven, the Coordination Office organises the acute measures necessary.

The State Coordination Office for the Heat Action Plan is financed by funding from the EU and the State of Bremen.
