Privacy Policy

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest. Protecting your privacy while you use our website is very important to us.

Below we would like to inform you about the handling of your data in accordance with Art. 13 Datenschutzgrundverordnung (DSGVO).

Where names are mentioned, the individuals concerned have given their consent. For data protection reasons, names have otherwise been omitted.

Liable

The entity responsible for the data collection and processing described below is the one named in the legal notice.

Usage data

To improve the quality of our websites, we store data about each individual visit to our site for statistical purposes. This data set consists of

  • the page from which the file was requested,
  • the name of the file,
  • the date and time of the request,
  • the amount of data transferred,
  • the access status (file transferred, file not found),
  • a description of the type of web browser used,
  • the IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened so that it can no longer be linked to a specific individual.

We use the Matomo software for this purpose. We have configured the software to use only anonymized IP addresses and to not set any cookies. Furthermore, no pseudonyms are used. Visitor counting is therefore based solely on anonymous data.

Data security

To protect your data as comprehensively as possible from unauthorized access, we implement technical and organizational measures.

We use an encryption method on our website. Your information is transmitted between your computer and our server via the internet using TLS-encryption. You can recognize this by the closed padlock icon in your browser's address bar and the "https://" at the beginning of the URL.

Cookies

We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files that can be stored on and read from your device. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which are stored beyond a single session. Cookies can contain data that allows the device being used to be recognized. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information about certain settings that are not personally identifiable.

We use session cookies on our websites. This processing is based on Article 6, Paragraph 1, Letter f of the DSGVO and is in our legitimate interest to optimize user experience. You can also participate in polls on our website. A session cookie is also used here to prevent multiple voting.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are placed. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent new cookies from being set. Please note that our websites may then not be displayed optimally and some functions may no longer be available.

Contact form

You can contact us via a web form. To use our contact form, we only need your name and email address. You can provide further information, but this is not mandatory.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Your data will only be processed to answer your request and will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary.

If you wish to object to the processing of your data submitted via contact form, please contact the email address listed in the legal notice.

Videos embedded on this website

On our websites, we embed videos that are not stored on our servers. To prevent third-party content from being automatically loaded when you visit our websites with embedded videos, we initially display only locally stored preview images of the videos. This way, the third-party provider receives no information.

Only after you click on the preview image will the third-party content be loaded. This will inform the third-party provider that you have visited our site, as well as the technically necessary usage data. The third-party provider will also then be able to implement tracking technologies. We have no control over the further data processing by the third-party provider. By clicking on the preview image, you give us your consent to load the third-party content.

The embedding is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO, provided you have given your consent by clicking on the preview image. Please note that embedding many videos results in your data being processed outside the EU or the EEA. In some countries, there is a risk that authorities may access the data for security and surveillance purposes without your knowledge or ability to seek legal recourse. If we use providers in insecure third countries and you consent, the transfer to an insecure third country is based on Art. 49 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

Data transfer to third parties

We treat your personal data confidentially and do not transmit it to unauthorized third parties.

Order processing

In the course of operating these websites and the associated processes, we may be supported by other service providers (e.g., for hosting and web development). These service providers are strictly bound by our instructions and contractually obligated in accordance with Article 28 of the Datenschutzgrundverordnung.

Your rights as a user

When processing your personal data, the DSGVO grants you, as a website user, certain rights:

  1. Right of access (Art. 15 DSGVO):
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed. If this is the case, you have the right to access this personal data and the information detailed in Art. 15 DSGVO.
  2. Right to rectification and erasure (Art. 16 and 17) DSGVO):
You have the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and, where applicable, the completion of incomplete personal data.
You also have the right to request the immediate erasure of personal data concerning you if one of the grounds listed in Article 17 of the DSGVO applies, for example, if the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
  3. Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 DSGVO):
You have the right to request the restriction of processing if one of the conditions listed in Art. 18 DSGVO is met, e.g. if you have objected to the processing, for the duration of any review.
  4. Right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO):
In certain cases, which are detailed in Art. 20 DSGVO, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request the transmission of this data to a third party.
  5. Right of objection (Art. 21 DSGVO):
If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f (data processing for the purposes of legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Pursuant to Article 77 of the DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection regulations. This right to lodge a complaint may be exercised, in particular, with a supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

Does the privacy policy also apply to websites of other providers?
